my review on nokia lumia 520 part 1

Peace be Upon you peeps!!~

so on September 2013 i bought myself a nokia lumia 520 phone. i bought it at PC fair with price of rm480, one year nokia warranty.


it comes with usb cabel, earphones, charger, and phone!!

what is so great with this phone? 

1. introducing windows phone 8 operating system.

Previously im using a samsung galaxy y pro phone, my post on samsung galaxy y pro. used it for a year. The reason why i changed to Nokia Lumia is because my phone was dead by the sea water. LOL.

I do find that learning about new operating system is kindda cute. and actually i fell in love with this phone!. for me its  more user friendly. but a bit slow? its do hang but not frequently. 


Interesting thing in Windows 8 Phone

a) Kid's Corner

slide to right, can see the kid's corner home screen.

only apps/games that we have customized earlier will be shown to lovely kids!


well in WP you can set your phone to a kid's corner. this means you can allow your kids only to view/play apps/games/video/music that you have set for them. this will avoid your kids from doing something funny such as purchasing a game without they knowing what are they doing, keep pressing call and the bill goes on, or view things that you dont want them to view. 


b) battery saver 

WP settings allow you to set whether you wnt to fully use your battery like normal or you want to ensure that it uses battery in conserving mode. its comes with Windows Phone not an apps that i download in windows store. thus i find it very convenient!



c) find my phone!
after i ve registered my lumia to my windows account. this lumia can be track if i misplaced/lost or my phone got stolen. I ve tested it works fine with certain required settings. This function is similar to IPhone. now i can get it in WP too!!!

d) link two account on one contact number

WP allows me to set a contact number links to accounts coming from FB or emails.

heres the setup tutorial. thus its made my life easier as sometimes i dont bother to open fb apps or web just to message a person. i can just go to my contacts and text/email them immediately. but sometimes the message is sync a bit late compare to the FB apps or Web.  


e) Here Maps 

WP gives me free maps to be downloaded and loaded to my PHONE!. I dont need any internet connection to view or use map. It comes together with map navigation. I found it very convenient  as sometimes i dont know where i am and where to head to.

e) Here Drive
an apps for driving navigation. i loved it. it helps me A LOT!

2. Lumia 520 is a cool phone with affordable price

As im not a person that require my phone to fully loaded with fancy apps. because i find phone has its own limitation. i prefer apps that can fulfill my little needs and im enjoying using it.
